Our Story
In the Home Improvement Industry, it is well-known that many homeowners have had a disappointing experience with a contractor.
This is a SERVICE INDUSTRY as much as it is construction. HomeStar Construction approaches every project, regardless of size, with the commitment of 100% customer satisfaction.
This business certainly cannot be approached as a part-time job to fill in between larger projects as many contractors do.
For over 40 years, we have handled nearly every situation that may arise. For example, material suppliers failing to deliver on time, workmanship issues, scheduling, timing of job start and completion, and handling service and warranty issues of completed projects.
We have adapted to the changing economy, working through the slow times and expanding our team through the busy years and seasons.
Our clients are treated with the understanding that the best solution for their needs is based upon product education, and our knowledgeable staff provides solutions that fit their unique situation.
Through the years, our business has evolved. We started in 1977 as a Residential Home and Apartment Building construction company. In 1980, we moved to our current location and began General Home Improvements. We offered complete home remodeling, including 2nd story additions, kitchens and baths, exterior finishes, decks, and hardscape for backyards.
After several years of growth, and having in excess of 65 employees, we decided that it was too ambitious to offer such a wide range of products and maintain the promised quality and customer satisfaction.
As a result, we decided to focus our product offering to Patio Enclosures and Patio Covers. These products are semi pre-manufactured, easily and quickly assembled.
Engineering from the factory makes obtaining building permits very simple and in most cases over the counter, or within a week or two. Most projects are completed within 3-7 days.
This is a “NICHE” MARKET and we decided to be the best at it!
In 1994, we changed our name from DAY Construction to Patio Outlet and added an Outdoor line of Patio Furniture and Interior Rattan and Wicker. These products accentuated our Patio Enclosures/Sunrooms, and made good use of our 7,000 square ft. showroom and freeway exposure. Our business thrived and it was enjoyable having customers treat themselves to good quality outdoor products.
Patio Outlet operated from 1994 until 2009, when we discontinued our furniture lines because the economy reduced the demand for our higher end outdoor products. We continued to offer our customers the best Patio Enclosure and Cover products as HomeStar Construction.
In 2011, we added a Bath Remodeling service known as Bath Planet and became a Dealer of the National Company because of the quality of the products and service, in addition to the Good Housekeeping Seal of approval on the system.
